The gridlocked members of the congressional supercommittee should grab President Barack Obama and decamp to a tropical island. Specifically, they should visit Puerto Rico, where a courageous leader is using free-market reforms to reinvigorate this recently moribund U.S. territory.
There are few opportunities for legislation that holds the prospect of gain for EVERYONE who supports it, regardless of party or ideology - but amazingly, the repeal of ObamaCare offers that very opportunity, if our elected officials would but examine the possibilities!!
The Congressional Budget Office figures emerged Friday, and offered a far more dire outlook for Obama’s budget than the administration predicted last month. The Projected deficit threatens Obama’s plans(1) - politics - White House ..., and is accurate even for a liberal Associated Press.

In politics the term RINO has emerged of late, meaning Republican in name only. Borrowing from that acronym the religious counterpart of a RINO would be CINO. (Christian in name only) We are in the throes of the biggest apostasy (Falling away) of the Christian faith in the last twenty centuries and many churches and organizations that spearhead this apostasy are certainly, CINO.
For the past month, the liberal fascist mobs have been protesting American exceptionalism, capitalism and its symbolic embodiment, Wall Street in Manhattan. These legions of largely white hippie-types, are unwashed, unshaved, unemployed, unemployable masses; prone to violence, conspicuous drug use, rantings, cursing, public defecation on police cars and promiscuous sex – yet are clueless as to what, why or who they are even protesting.
As if the American public’s tolerance for political chicanery hasn’t been tested beyond the breaking point, now comes news that several shyster Progressives and Democrats are floating the notion that the debt ceiling is – get this – unconstitutional. Far be it from me to ask, but why is it the only time Progressives and Democrats concern themselves with the constitutionality of issues is when its concern their ability to spend money?
When we celebrate the Fourth of July, let’s keep in mind that the first Americans won their independence from England with the force of arms. It was, in fact, a British effort in 1775 to confiscate military arms they believed were stored in Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts that sparked the war.
Computer models at Stanford University have just “told” us that man-made global warming has already sapped some of the yield potential from our food crops. They say wheat yields would have been 5.5 percent higher since 1980 without the earthly warming; corn yields would have been 3.8 percent higher.
Update: I was contacted by Theresa Cao with reference to the recent meeting between Donald Trump, Arizona Rep. Carl Seel and a few others on 8 April 2011 in New York City. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Trump gave the attendees a ‘homework assignment’ consisting of providing him with any viable additional information on Obama’s natural-born citizen status. Apparently, Ms. Cao was the only one who anticipated Mr. Trump’s request and provided to Trump’s advisor and attorney Michael Cohen.
In order for socialism to function in a society its tenets require the forcible redistribution of income and wealth. In practice this has never been able to be accomplished since much of wealth is the accumulation of income over time. Once established its owners have always found ways to retain that wealth by way of the power it wields. However, since income is derived in a current time frame, governments have been able to succeed in taxing higher income owners more than those earning lower incomes. This is not the same as the taxing of wealth.
Contrary to Senator Moynihan’s proclamation, Slate’s William Saletan thinks he’s entitled to his own facts. If not his own facts, then his own version of history at any rate. Anti-Second Amendment Saletan dreamed up his own little set of incidents and actions in order to castigate pro-Second Amendment supporters by claiming that something that didn’t happen could have happened and that, ipso facto, because it ‘could’ have the Second Amendment is bad(1)—all this based on his dreamy little dream of an alternate history.
I’ve read a lot of nonsense predictions lately about what will happen in 2011: Snooki and “The Situation” will get married, Obama will pull the troops out of Afghanistan, the economy will recover (we mean it this time), the climate crisis will be averted as soon as you pay $5 a gallon for gas and George Bush will really go away.
Well, there you have it. According to the Los Angeles Times, President Obama is “evolving” in his views on the definition of marriage. Vice President Joe Biden shilled for that position on “Good Morning America” by declaring same-sex marriage as “inevitable.”
Henry Lamb cheers on movement to repeal 17th Amendment - In hopes of returning to a previous, “better” condition, millions of Americans will resolve to: quit smoking, lose weight, or engage in some other activity to make their life better in some way. Suppose there were an activity in which Americans could engage that would make the entire world better, especially that portion of the world we call the United States of America. There is!
